Looking through some images from the wedding of Lisa and Matthew France, a photograph suddenly stood out, taken from their First Dance at Bartle Hall. This black and white image is almost nostalgic, conjuring up a 1940′s film noir atmosphere. Lisa and Matt are only partly lit with light coming from one direction. The photograph looks as if they are completely alone with each other as I isolated the couple to create this effect. In reality they are surrounded by guests which was taken at Bartle Hall, near Preston, Lancashire. Michael Woof Photography.
Liam and Marie Wilkinson were the first wedding couple I photographed at the attractive Low Wood Bay Hotel on Ambleside Road, Windermere. Taking them both for a walk at sunset to the famous jetty on Lake Windermere. The weather was perfect, calm and warm, which makes this black and white photograph stand out from the rest. This wedding photograph will always be a favourite of mine for years to come.
A few weeks ago in October – Jo and Matt got married at Eaves Hall, www.eaveshall.co.uk, West Bradford, Clitheroe, for a beautiful autumnal wedding. This fabulous country house hotel was a stunning setting for their wedding photography. Especially from the front as Jo and Matt kissed from the balcony for their photo-shoot. The autumn colours made a rich backdrop to their wedding photography together with the traditional stone and graceful facade of Eaves Hall. Michael Woof Photography.
This monochrome, black and white image was made from a colour photograph with Andrew Sunderland and Sally Ashton. Stirk House near Gisburn is an amazing venue for wedding photography, the extensive grounds and features makes it a haven for wedding photographers. Large trees, gardens, benches, old stone work and views from the main house makes this wedding venue very attractive. When I was photographing the couple I took them for a walk near some yellow flowers which made a natural and leading foreground.
Photographing Jasper and Bailey Ashton in Burton-in-Lonsdale, Yorkshire. With help from mum and good friend Nancy, we were able to get them on the lawn at the back of the house for a play. With the dog circling the twins and Indie Ashton running around in circles, this photoshoot was gonna be an energetic one! The twins were brilliant, happy and smily with the sun brightening up their already playful personalities. All in all a colourful and vibrant photoshoot letting the children be themselves, as always!
It was a sunny night inbetween Ingleton and Thornton-in-Lonsdale in Yorkshire. Chris was hyped up about having a lot of photographs taken whilst riding the bike, with Amy on the front too! The weather and the light could not have been better as we all spent several hours in a lush green field on their Pre-Wedding photo-shoot.
Charles and Julia Newsholme were married at Clapham church in the Yorkshire Dales on a beautiful afternoon, with black sheep ale and cakes at reception. Both Charles and Julia were a fantastic couple who walked with me on their photo-shoot by the river. It was sunny from start to finish as I started taking pictures with guests arriving at the church until cutting of the cake at Clapham village hall.
This shot was taken behind me, as I was actually photographing the bride and groom in the opposite direction. The brides entourage were following me as I was doing the bride and groom shoot, these two started playing on the gate trying to attract the livestock in the field making a playful and natural shot.
